Canal in Canada
A canal 202-kilometre long joining the Ottawa River at Ottawa to the Cataraqui River and Lake Ontario at Kingston, Ontario. Its 46 locks lift boats 83 metres from the Ottawa River up the Rideau River to the Rideau Lakes, then lower them 50 metres down the Cataraqui to Kingston.
