A fjord in western Greenland, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. For 40 km (25 mi) it runs westward, out of the Greenland ice sheet into Disko Bay, ending just south of Ilulissat town.

An autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark and, by land area, the largest of its three constituent parts, the others being the Faroe Islands and Denmark proper. Greenlanders are Danish citizens, and so citizens of the European Union (EU), though Greenland itself is outside the EU.
