Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve

Protected area in Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire

A protected area and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire, covering 175.4 km² in all, 125.4 km² in Guinea and 50 km² in Côte d'Ivoire. It takes in much of the Nimba Range, a unique area with unusually rich plant and animal life, including an exceptional number of species found at just one site, such as Nimbaphrynoides, the Nimba otter shrew and several horseshoe bats.

Guinea-Bissau lies to its northwest, Senegal to its north, Mali to its northeast, Ivory Coast to its southeast, Liberia and Sierra Leone to its south, and the Atlantic to its west.
