World Heritage
Castle complex in Budapest, Hungary
Once also called the Royal Palace and the Royal Castle, the historic castle and palace complex of Hungary's kings in Budapest. First completed in 1265; the Baroque palace that now covers most of the site went up in 1749–1769, was badly damaged in the Siege of Budapest in World War II, and was rebuilt in a simpler Baroque style under state communism.

Seat of the National Assembly of Hungary
Also called the Parliament of Budapest, after where it stands, the seat of Hungary's National Assembly, a notable national landmark and a popular sight in Budapest. It stands on Kossuth Square, on the Pest side of the city, on the Danube's east bank.

Oldest bridge in Budapest
A chain bridge over the Danube linking Buda and Pest, the western and eastern halves of Budapest, Hungary's capital. Designed by the English engineer William Tierney Clark and built by the Scottish engineer Adam Clark, it was the first permanent Danube bridge in Hungary.

UNESCO World Heritage Site in Budapest, Hungary
One of the chief squares of Budapest, famous for the iconic Millennium Monument, whose statues show the Seven chieftains of the Magyars along with other key Hungarian monarchs and national leaders, and for the Memorial Stone of Heroes, which people often mistakenly call the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
