Mountain on the Isle of Man
The Isle of Man's highest mountain, 2,037 feet (620.9 m) above sea level, and its only summit over 2,000 feet (610 m). A narrow gauge railway runs to the top, where there are a railway station, a cafe and several communication masts.

Lighthouse
An active lighthouse of the 19th century at the Point of Ayre, the Isle of Man's north-eastern tip. Robert Stevenson, grandfather of the prolific novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, designed and built it under the Isle of Man and Calf of Man Lighthouses Act 1815; first lit in 1818, it is the oldest working lighthouse on the island.

Also called simply Manxland, Man or Mann, a self-governing British Crown Dependency in the Irish Sea, between Ireland and Great Britain. Charles III is head of state with the title Lord of Mann, represented by a Lieutenant Governor. The United Kingdom government handles the island's military defence and represents it abroad, but it keeps its own international identity.
