Skyscraper, Hotel in Doha, Qatar
Also called The Torch Doha, a hotel skyscraper 300-metre-tall (980 ft) in the Aspire Zone complex, Doha, Qatar. Designed by the architect Hadi Simaan with AREP, and engineered by Ove Arup and Partners, it was the centrepiece of the 15th Asian Games, which Qatar hosted in December 2006.

Museum in Doha, Ad-Dawhah, Qatar
A museum at one end of Doha's Corniche, seven-kilometer-long (4.3 mi), in Qatar. Following the specifications of its architect, I. M. Pei, it stands on an island off an artificial peninsula near the traditional dhow harbour.

Mosque in Doha, Qatar
Also called the Qatar State Mosque, Qatar's national mosque, in the Lejbailat district of Doha, the capital. Its name honours Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, a preacher, theologian and scholar of the 18th century from Najd, in central Arabia, who founded the Islamic revivalist and reformist movement called Wahhabism.

Waterfront promenade in Doha, Qatar
A waterfront promenade and dual carriageway running seven kilometres (4.3 mi) around Doha Bay, a crescent-shaped bay in Qatar's capital. This green, semicircular public strip is the main venue for national celebrations such as the Qatar National Day Parade and National Sports Day, and for various religious, civic and sports events, and it is one of Qatar's most popular places for tourists and leisure.

Officially the State of Qatar, a West Asian country on the Qatar Peninsula, off the Arabian Peninsula's northeastern coast in the Middle East. Its only land border is with Saudi Arabia, to the south; the rest of it is surrounded by the Persian Gulf, and the Gulf of Bahrain, an arm of the Persian Gulf, separates it from nearby Bahrain.
