Waterfall in Northeast Iceland
A waterfall in Vatnajökull National Park, Northeast Iceland, said to be Europe's second most powerful after the Rhine Falls. It lies on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum, a river flowing from the Vatnajökull glacier and draining a large area of Northeast Iceland.

Waterfall in Bláskógabyggð and Hrunamannahreppur, Iceland
A waterfall in southwest Iceland where the Hvítá river runs through a canyon, on the boundary of Hrunamannahreppur and Bláskógabyggð. One of Iceland's most popular sights, it is part of the "Golden Circle" tours of the country around Reykjavík.

Congo River waterfalls in Orientale Province, DRC
Formerly called Stanley Falls, seven cataracts, none higher than 5 m (16 ft), stretching over more than 100 km (62 mi) along a bend of the Lualaba River between Kisangani and Ubundu, river ports in the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Orientale Province. Together the seven fall 61 m (200 ft).

The highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping 2,425 feet (739 m) in all, from where the upper fall begins to where the lower fall ends. In California's Sierra Nevada, it is one of the park's main sights, above all in late spring, when the most water flows.

Pair of waterfalls on the Mekong River in Laos
Formed together by the Khone Falls and the Pha Pheng Falls, a waterfall on the Mekong River in Champasak Province, southern Laos, close to the Cambodian border. Measured from one side of its many channels to the other, it is 10,783 metres across, the widest waterfall on Earth.

A waterfall on the Skógá River in southern Iceland, on the cliff that was once the coastline. When the sea retreated, the old sea cliffs remained, running parallel to the coast for hundreds of kilometres, and with some mountains they form a clear boundary between Iceland's coastal lowlands and its Highlands.

Waterfall on the Victoria Nile in Western Region, Uganda
Also called Kabalega Falls, a waterfall in Uganda, on the White Nile at the head of Lake Albert. At its top the Nile squeezes through a gap in the rock just 7 m (23 ft) wide and falls 43 m (141 ft), then flows west into Lake Albert.
